Social Media Manager
**This is a volunteer (unpaid) position.**
Position Summary:
This Social Media Manager is responsible for developing and implementing our social media strategy. This role will be responsible for creating content, managing social media accounts, analyzing engagement data, and collaborating with the marketing team to enhance our brand's online presence. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker, a strong communicator, and has a proven track record of growing and engaging audiences across various social media platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and manage our social media strategy across multiple platforms (Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook)
Post on the organization’s social media platforms on a weekly basis
Create and curate engaging, high-quality content, including graphics, videos, and written posts
Monitor and analyze social media metrics to measure the success of campaigns and inform future strategies
Engage with our online community by responding to comments, messages, and mentions in a timely and professional manner
Stay up-to-date with the latest social media best practices, trends, and technologies
Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure brand consistency and alignment with overall business goals
Plan and execute social media advertising campaigns
Track and report on campaign performance, providing insights and recommendations for improvement
Report to the Director of Marketing Communications
Qualifications:
Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Advertising, or related field.
Proven experience developing and executing successful social media campaigns
Strong understanding of social media platforms, tools, and analytics
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Creative thinker with the ability to generate innovative ideas
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Experience in multimedia software, including Canva and Adobe Illustrator
